RECRUITMENT FOR THE POSTS OF SUB INSPECTOR (UB) IN ASSAM POLICE, SUB INSPECTOR OF
POLICE (COMMUNICATION) IN APRO, STATION OFFICER & SQUAD COMMANDER IN F & ES AND
ASSISTANT JAILOR IN PRISON DEPARTMENT

n pursuance of the directions of the Govt. of Assam, Online Applications are invited for filling up of 48 posts of Sub Inspector (UB) in the Assam Police, 4 Posts of Sub Inspector of Police (Communication) in APRO, 6 posts of Station Officer & 5 posts of Squad Commander in F & ES and 39 posts of Assistant Jailor in Prison Department in the Pay Scale of Rs. 14000-70000/- (Pay Band No. 2) plus Rs. 8700/- Grade Pay plus other Allowances, as admissible under the Rules.

Online Applications will be received with effect from 16-12-2025 to 16-01-2026, and in case of any inadvertent entry/typographical mistakes, edit option will be available for 5 days from the last date of submission of Online Application by logging into the Applicants Application ID Account (only once and subject to approval from SLPRB).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Sub Inspector (UB) & Sub Inspector of Police (Communication) :The age of the Applicant must be 20-26 years as on 01-01-2026 (i.e., Applicants born not before 01-01-2000 and not later than 01-01-2006).

Station Officer & Squad Commander) :The age of the Applicant must be 20-24 years as on 01-01-2026 (i.e., Applicants born not before 01-01-2002 and not later than 01-01-2006).

Assistant Jailor :The age of the Applicant must be 21-40 years as on 01-01-2026 (i.e., Applicants born not before 01-01-1986 and not later than 01-01-2005)

Sub Inspector (UB) & Assistant Jailor:-Applicant must be a graduate in Arts/Science/ Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College/Institution affiliated to a recognized University.

Station Officer & Squad Commander:-B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from a recognized College/Institution affiliated to a recognized University.

Sub Inspector of Police Communication:- B.Sc. (Electronics Science/ IT/ Computer Science) (10+2+3 duration)

HOW TO APPLY

Instructions for Registration and Application Submission

(i) Applicants must register in the application portal only once for all Advertisements. Candidature
will be cancelled if an applicant generates multiple Application IDs using different mobile
numbers.
(ii) Applicants must register with their name exactly as per the Class VI Passed Certificate/ HSLC
Certificate/ Birth Certificate. Father’s name and Mother’s name must also be entered correctly.
(iii) Applicants must register using a valid mobile number and provide the following information

b) Highest Qualification Details
c) Permanent District
d) Gender
e) Caste/Category
f) Date of Birth
g) Aadhaar Number
(iv) After successful registration, an Application ID will be generated. Keep this ID safe for future
