RECRUITMENT FOR THE POSTS OF DRIVER CONSTABLE IN ASSAM POLICE, CONSTABLE (DISPATCH
RIDER), CONSTABLE (MESSENGER) & CONSTABLE (HANDYMEN) IN APRO, DRIVER & DRIVER
OPERATOR IN FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES AND DRIVER CONSTABLE &
DRIVER IN FOREST DEPARTMENT

In pursuance of the directions of the Govt. of Assam, Online Applications are invited for filling up of 127 posts of Driver Constable in Assam Police, 14 posts of Constable (Dispatch Rider), 20 posts of Constable (Messenger) & 3 posts of Constable (Handymen) in APRO and 90 posts of Driver & 4 posts of Driver Operator in Fire & Emergency Services and 7 posts of Driver Constable & 106 posts of Driver in Forest Department in the Pay Scale of Rs. 14000-70000/- (Pay Band No.2) and Grade Pay as shown against each post plus other Allowances as admissible under the rules

Online Applications will be received with effect from 16-12-2025 to 16-01-2026, and in case of an inadvertent entry/typographical mistakes, the same can be corrected by logging into the Applicants Application ID Account (only once and subject to approval from SLPRB).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

For the post of Driver Constable in Assam Police, Constable (Dispatch Rider), Constable (Messenger) & Constable (Handymen) in APRO & Driver and Driver Operator in F & ES and Driver Constable in Forest Department: The age of the Applicant must be 18-25 as on 01-01-2026 (i.e., Applicants born not before 01-01-2001 and not later than 01-01-2008).

For the post of Driver in Forest Department: The age of the Applicant must be 18-40 as on 01-01-2026 (i.e., Applicants born not before 01-01-1986 and not later than 01-01-2008).

SLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.

For the post of Driver Constable in Assam Police, Constable (Dispatch Rider), Constable (Messenger) & Constable (Handymen) in APRO and Driver and Driver Constable in Forest Department, the Applicant must possess valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.

For the post of Driver and Driver Operator in F & ES, the Applicant must possess valid driving license for HMV.

HOW TO APPLY

Instructions for Registration and Application Submission

(i) Applicants must register in the application portal only once for all Advertisements. Candidature
will be cancelled if an applicant generates multiple Application IDs using different mobile
numbers.
(ii) Applicants must register with their name exactly as per the Class VI Passed Certificate/ HSLC
Certificate/ Birth Certificate. Father’s name and Mother’s name must also be entered correctly.
(iii) Applicants must register using a valid mobile number and provide the following information
accurately
a) Employment Exchange Number
b) Highest Qualification Details
c) Permanent District
d) Gender
e) Caste/Category
f) Date of Birth
g) Aadhaar Number
(iv) After successful registration, an Application ID will be generated. Keep this ID safe for future
reference.
